The percussion part is primarily vibraphone and crotales, and I added a small piano part (just some low piano octaves) for each of the players to play here and there throughout the piece. It&#8217;s 10 minutes long and broken up into small movements and interludes with no pause:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-container-1 is-vertical wp-block-group\">\n<p>A duet between a star and its sky<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interlude: Floating above the stillness<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lament of a falling star<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interlude: Reflecting on its fate<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Embracing its destiny<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coda: Return to dust<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The premiere is set for 7:30pm (Pacific Time) on October 17 at Washington State University featuring Sophia Tegart and Chris Wilson.
