Flutterby was written for flutist Marta Płomińska and trombonist Dawid Mżyk for premiere November 5, 2022 in NYC as a part of the XXIV International Chopin and Friends Festival. The piece has a light, rhythmic, whimsical character with a slight change to a more intimate atmosphere in the middle section, showcasing the trombone multiphonics/singing with the flute.
