UNLV Nextet series concert
Amethyst Sunset (2019) was inspired by the beautiful sunsets on the Whitney Mesa Trail in the Las Vegas area (Henderson, NV). It was commissioned by pianists Olga Shupyatskaya and Futaba Niekawa, and the recording featuring them is released on Innova Recordings on the album “Reflections at Dusk.”

Amethyst Sunset was commissioned by pianists Olga Shupyatskaya and Futaba Niekawa, and premiered at the Eastman School of Music July 23rd with percussionists Hannah Weaver and Kyle Peters.
