“Noir” with Choreography from 2013 Rochester Fringe Festival

I received the video recording today of the performance of my composition “Noir” at the 2013 Rochester Fringe festival featuring dancers Elisabeth M. Martin and Chris Collins along with performers Colin Gordon, soprano saxophone; Wendy Eisenberg, electric guitar; Matt Krol, electric bass; and Aaron Staebell, drums. Aaron and I collaborated on a showcase that featured new improvised compositions with dance, and I really loved how the dancers choreographed this!

UNLV Recording Sessions January 16-17

I recorded compositions with UNLV musicians from January 16-17 in the UNLV Recording Studios for my debut album “Familiar Stranger.” The compositions recorded that weekend include vocals to Fallen Veneer, Familiar Stranger, Burning Light, and Chase the Stars. Hunter Turner joined me on vocals for Fallen Veneer, and pianist Jae Ahn-Benton and clarinetist Ivan Ivanov recorded Moments Shared, Moments Lost for clarinet and electric organ. Additionally, Tim Jones recorded his parts on vibraphone. Here are some photos from the sessions!
